COX’S BAZAR : Three people were killed and four others injured in a bus-laguna collision on Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway near Zilla Parishad Gate in Aziznagar border area in Chakaria around 9 am on Saturday.

Lohagara Fire Service and Civil Defense Station official Rubel Alam said that the deceased are Abdul Hamid (30), son of Abul Bashar of Chakaria Harbang Union, Jahangir Alam (25), son of Lal Mia of Karmuhuri neighborhood, and Nazrul Islam (34), son of Donumia.

Four injured people were rescued and sent to different hospitals in the upazila, he added.

Officer-in-charge of Chiringa Highway Police Station Eamon Kanti Chowdhury said that the bodies were recovered from the spot and kept at Chakaria Upazila Health Complex.

Two vehicles involved in the accident were seized.
